My reason for this career path was quite personal: I saw that many of my tax clients, as well as friends, were not getting the kind of help they needed to plan financially for the future. I was confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I could help people better prepare for the future.What makes our services unique is the personal attention and service that we bring to each client.
I received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Sam Houston State University in 1977. I am a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPA's, Texas Society of CPA's and the Houston Chapter of TSCPA, formerly serving as a member of the Accounting and Auditing Committee. Prior to starting my own firm, I was a senior auditor with a large national CPA firm.
I have been a Registered Representative with Avantax Investment ServicesSM since 1996. I am licensed here in Texas to help my clients with their investment and insurance needs.
After 23 years in the financial services business, I have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance ideas and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives.
I live in Friendswood with my wife, Jo Anne. In our spare time, we enjoy all kinds of water activities including skiing and fishing. We are members of Bay Area Church in League City. Other community involvements include serving on the Pasadena Salvation Army Advisory Board, treasurer of the Pasadena Rotary Club, past chairman of the San Jacinto YMCA board and service on the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce membership retention committee.
